About SteadyMath
SteadyMath is an independent website offering free personal finance calculators for people in the United States. Our goal is simple: give clear, accurate answers to everyday money questions — What will this mortgage cost? How long until my card is paid off? Am I on track for retirement? — and show exactly how each answer is calculated.
The SteadyMath Editorial Team
Content on SteadyMath is produced by the SteadyMath Editorial Team, a small team that builds the calculators and writes the guides. We publish under the team name rather than individual bylines. We want to be upfront about what that means:
- We are not a bank, lender, broker, tax preparer, or registered investment adviser, and nothing here is personalized advice.
- Our calculators and articles are built with the help of software tools, including AI-assisted drafting and coding. Every formula is checked by automated tests against standard reference values, and figures such as tax brackets and contribution limits are taken directly from official government sources, which we cite on each page.
- When rules change (for example, new IRS limits each year), we update the affected pages and change the “last updated” date.
How we keep content accurate
See our methodology for the formulas, assumptions and tests behind each calculator, and our editorial policy for how we source, review and correct content.
How SteadyMath is funded
SteadyMath is free to use. We may display advertising to cover costs. Advertisers do not influence our calculations, rankings or content, and we do not accept payment to recommend specific financial products.
